On Friday, September 17th, 2021 at approximately 11:00 p.m. police were dispatched to 6th Avenue and Hamilton Street for a reported vehicle vs pedestrian collision. Information received was that a pedestrian was struck while crossing the street by a vehicle which then fled the scene. The victim of the hit and run succumbed to their injuries in hospital.
The investigation is continuing and more information will be released at a later date.
