Investigation is continuing into a vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred in Regina last night (August 19th). A 17 year-old male was taken to hospital as a result.
Several police units were dispatched at approximately 8:45 p.m., on Thursday, August 19, 2021, to the intersection of Lewvan Drive and 1st Avenue North for a report of a vehicle/pedestrian collision. When police arrived, they located a male lying in the intersection; he was taken to hospital by EMS. The vehicle involved in the collision, and the 27 year-old driver, were still at the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates the male may have crossed Lewvan Drive from east to west on a red light. He was struck by a southbound vehicle. Police have interviewed some witnesses at the scene, but are still in the early stages of this investigation.
