A Regina female is facing charges after a Regina Police Service stolen auto investigation that spanned multiple years.
On March 21, 2019, members of the Regina Police Service Stolen Auto Unit began an investigation into the theft of a vehicle from a local car rental company. It was reported to police that the vehicle in question was rented out and not returned. In May of 2021, police received new information that the vehicle had been sold and re-registered in Alberta. RPS members worked with members of the Edmonton Police Service to locate the vehicle and track the prior sales back to the individual who originally rented the vehicle in Regina in 2019.
On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, members of the Regina Police Service located and arrested the female suspect. As a result:
Thirty-eight year-old Charlene Gwen PAMBRUN, of Regina, has been charged with:
- Theft Over $5000 [CC 344 (A)];
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355 (A)].
PAMBRUN made her first court appearance on the charges in Provincial Court on Wednesday afternoon (July 14, 2021) at 2:00 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information from Regina or Alberta is asked to contact a local law enforcement agency or the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500.
