A male is facing several charges after a recent investigation turned up more than $38,000 worth of stolen property.
On July 8, 2021 members of the Online Stolen Property Unit were alerted to a suspicious male selling, what appeared to be, brand-new merchandise online. Over the course of several days, an investigation involving members of the Online Stolen Property Unit and the Patrol Unit led to the recovery of dozens of household items that all were confirmed stolen from a local business. Items ranging from camping supplies to power tools to a wakeboard were found stored in a hotel room, vehicle and storage locker in Regina. Officers also recovered a firearm during the search. As a result:
Fifty-six year-old Joseph Paul EVRARD, of Grenfell, SK., has been charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 [CC 355 (A)];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking [CC 355.4];
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm [CC 91(1)]; and
- Careless Storage of a Firearm [CC 86(2)];
EVRARD made his first court appearance in Provincial Court July 12, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
