On Thursday July 8th, 2021 the Regina Police Service members discharged a CEW, commonly known as a Taser, during an arrest of an adult male. This advisory is in keeping with the Regina Police Service’s
commitment to notify the public each time a CEW is discharged against a person.
On Thursday July 8th, 2021 at approximately 0937 hours a male broke into a home on the 1400 Block of Robinson St. Police arrived and found the male who then became aggressive. The male was violent with police, ignored commands, and assaulted one of the officers. Police deployed a CEW on the male who was then safely taken into custody. There were no injuries but because of his agitated and violent state the male was assessed by EMS.
Forty-six year old Brent McNABB of Regina was charged with the following offences:
Break and Enter contrary to Section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Resist Arrest contrary to Section 129(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Assault a Peace Officer contrary to Section 270(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada
Brent McNABB will make his first court appearance in Provincial Court on Tuesday July 9th at 09:30 hours.
