A 41 year-old male is facing a charge of Aggravated Assault after an incident early yesterday evening.
At approximately 6:35 p.m., on Monday, June 28, 2021, police were dispatched to assist a citizen, after a male was seen stumbling down an alley in the 1900 block of Edgar Street. Police arrived and located a 36 year-old male, who was bleeding from a large laceration. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment. Police located a residence on the block that appeared to have been the scene of an altercation. A second male was fund there, who was covered in blood but did not appear to be injured. Police also located a metal file, believed to be the weapon used in the assault. The victim and the suspect are known to each other.
As a result of investigation, 41 year-old Nathan Timothy OLIVER, of Fort Qu’Appelle, is charged with Aggravated Assault, contrary to section 268(1) of the Criminal Code. OLIVER made his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. (today), Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
