On June 26, 2021, at approximately 5:25 pm, members of the Regina Police Service were dispatched to the area of 2300 block of Lindsay Street for a report of a weapons offence involving a firearm and a knife.
A group of males were working in the backyard of a residence in the 2300 block of Lindsay Street when another group of three males were walking in the alley. Words were exchanged between both groups and a fight ensure. The group of three males produced a knife and two firearms were seen. A male victim was stabbed. The three suspect males fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim with the stab wound was transported to the Regina General Hospital with serious injuries.
The investigation led police to an address on the 100 block of College Avenue East. The three suspects were taken into custody without incident.
Twenty-three year-old, Brayden Derek LAMBERT, of Regina is charged with:
- Aggravated Assault [CC 268(1)];
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(a)];
- Fail to Comply with a Condition of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(a)]
Nineteen year-old, Kanaan LAMBERT, of Regina is charged with:
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose [CC 88];
- Carry a Concealed Weapon [CC 90];
- Fail to Comply with a Condition of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(a)]
Twenty-eight year-old Brandon Daniel RACETTE, of Regina is charged with:
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose [CC 88];
- Pointing a Firearm [CC 87(1)]
Brayden LAMBERT, Kanaan LAMBERT and Brandon RACETTE will all make their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday, June 28, 2021.
