A 28 year-old Regina male is facing charges of accessing and possessing child pornography after an investigation over the weekend.
On Sunday, June 27, 2021, just after 3:00 a.m., patrol members were dispatched for a report of images found on a phone that appeared to be pornographic images of children. Police located the complainant and began an investigation that led them to a residence on Gore Place, in the city’s north-west. At the residence, police found the alleged owner of the phone and gathered further information and potential evidence in their investigation. Members of the Internet Child Exploitation unit (ICE) were requested to assist in the investigation. As a result, a 28 year-old male was taken into custody without incident and charged. The investigation is ongoing.
Twenty-eight year-old Marty B.D. DICK, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of Child Pornography, section 163.1(4) CC; and
- Accessing Child Pornography, section 163.1(4.1) CC.
DICK will make his first court appearance on these charges before Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on August 17, 2021.
