The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that may assist in the investigation of a robbery involving a firearm that is believed to have occurred in an alley between the 2900 blocks of Montague and Elphinstone Street.
On the morning of June 16, 2021, between 12:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., police identified what appeared to be the potential location of an assault while responding to a call for service. Investigation led police to a residence on the 2900 block of Elphinstone Street. Police entered the residence and discovered an injured 34 year-old male. The male had sustained a non-life threatening injury consistent with a firearm discharge and was transported to hospital for treatment.
Police learned that suspects had approached the victim and attempted to take his belongings. The victim attempted to leave and was assaulted. An altercation ensued among the victim and suspects, where it is believed that the victim ultimately sustained a gunshot injury. The suspects then fled.
