On Saturday June 5, 2021, at approximately 4:00am., members of the Regina Police Service were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Retallack Street for a 911 call. The caller reported there were males inside the residence with guns. Police attended and surrounded the residence. Police made contact with those inside and requested they come out one at a time. The investigation lead to the arrest of a male for a weapons offence. A search of the males backpack revealed a loaded firearm and ammunition.
Forty-four year-old Joseph Sheldon PELLETIER, of Regina is charged with:
- 6X Possession of Firearm/Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)];
- Possess Firearm Knowing Its Possession Unauthorized [CC 92(1)];
- Carry Concealed Weapon [CC 90]
PELLETIER will make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
