On June 3, 2021, at approximately 8:50 a.m., police were dispatched to 13th Avenue and Winnipeg Street for the report of a motor vehicle striking a pedestrian. Police arrived to find a male who had sustained non-life-threatening injury. Witness reports indicated that a vehicle struck the male, and a male driver got out of the vehicle to assist the victim. When the victim refused, the driver got back into the vehicle and drove away.
Investigation led to the identity of the driver, a 37 year-old male, who was located and issued two SOTIs, one for failing to stop for a pedestrian, the other for failing to report the accident to the police.
