At approximately 6:30 pm on April 30, 2021, police were dispatched to the intersection of Elphinstone Street and Saskatchewan Drive for a report of an assault with a weapon where the victim was sprayed with bear spray by a male on a bike. The victim was sprayed with bear spray while sitting in a vehicle through an open window following a brief argument. The suspect was last seen travelling northbound on Elphinstone Street on a bike. The female victim did not require any medical assistance.
Shortly after, police received another report of a bear spray incident. This one occurred in the intersection of Dewdney Avenue and Lewvan Drive. The male victim was sitting in his vehicle when a male on a bike sprayed his windshield with bear spray. The male victim got out of his vehicle and was sprayed in the face by the suspect. The victim held the suspect down until police arrival. The suspect was arrested without incident. The victim male was treated at the scene by EMS.
Twenty-nine year old Daylon PRATT, of Regina, is charged with the following offences: – Assault With a Weapon X2 [267(a) CC]
PRATT will make his first appearance on the charges in Provincial Court on July 27, 2021.
