The Regina Police Service Drug Unit (RDU) completed an investigation and enforcement action on Thursday, April 29, 2021, in relation to drug trafficking within the City of Regina.
Two CDSA search warrants were executed: one in the Greens neighbourhood of southeast Regina, and one on a vehicle. As a result of the enforcement, 31 year-old Hassan Ali ISMAIL, of Regina, was arrested in relation to the investigation.
The following substances and items were seized:
- 100 grams of cocaine;
- Cutting agent;
- $62,000.00 in Canadian Currency; and
- Cell phones, digital scale, packaging and other items to support drug trafficking.
As a result of the enforcement, ISMAIL was charged with the following offences:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine – S.5(2) CDSA;
- Proceeds Over $5000 – S.355(a) CC.
ISMAIL was released from custody with several conditions and a future court date.
