An adult female was arrested and charged on Sunday evening night, after a two vehicle collision in the northwest part of the city.
On Sunday, March 21, 2021, at approximately 5:45 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at 9th Avenue North and McIntosh Street. Preliminary investigation indicated a Ford Escape with one occupant was east-bound on 9th Avenue North. A Chrysler 300 with three occupants was travelling north-bound on McIntosh Street. Investigation revealed the north-south roadway had a green light and the east-west roadway had a red light when the Ford Escape entered the intersection. The resulting impact was on the driver’s side of the Chrysler 300. A 40 year-old female was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious; the other two occupants, ages 11 and 12 were unhurt. Upon further investigation, the driver of the Ford Escape was charged with Impaired Driving.
Forty-one year-old Crystal Dawn MEED, of Regina is charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance by Alcohol, Drug or a Combination of both [320.14(1)(a) CC]. MEED will make her first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on April 6, 2021.
