On Saturday, February 13, 2021, at approximately 10:08 p.m. police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision between a Regina Transit bus and a pedestrian, at 12th Avenue and Lorne Street in Regina.
Investigation determined the bus was eastbound on 12th Avenue, making a northbound turn onto Lorne Street. The pedestrian was crossing Lorne Street at 12th Avenue when they were struck in the intersection. Regina EMS attended to the scene and transported the pedestrian to the Regina General Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Regina Transit bus was charged under the Traffic Safety Act for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian.
