On the afternoon of Saturday, January 2nd, 2021, members of the Regina Police Service were dispatched to East Dewdney Avenue, Regina for a report of a weapons offence. Information received in the call was
that there was a male who had walked into a convenience store with a hand gun in his waistband. The male then emerged from the store and got into a vehicle with three other people already inside. The vehicle then drove away.
The suspect vehicle was located by police a short time later and a traffic stop conducted. Two males and one female were taken into custody without incident. A fourth occupant was still inside the vehicle and drove away.
Several minutes later the suspect vehicle was involved in a Collision with another road vehicle at the Ring Road and Winnipeg St. The female driver of the suspect vehicle was taken into custody. She had minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
