The Regina Police Service has issued another ticket under the Saskatchewan Public Health Act for disobeying the Public Health Orders on COVID-19. An adult female has been issued a ticket for $2,800.
On Saturday, December 12, 2020, at approximately 3:26 a.m., police received a complaint of a large group of people gathered in an apartment in the 1100 block of Broadway Avenue. When police attended, they were able to confirm there were at least eight people in the apartment, contrary to the Public Health Order limiting private gatherings at five people. The resident at that address was informed that she would very likely be issued a ticket. Initial attempts to serve the ticket were not successful; that ticket was served to the resident on December 16, 2020.
This is the seventh ticket issued by the Regina Police Service under the Public Health Orders brought into effect during the pandemic.
