Finally, We Can Say, “Book ‘Em (Danno)…”
C’mon… classic TV line from “Hawaii Five-0”? Go ahead and Google® it and, while you have your browser open, you can now “book” an appointment to get a Criminal Record Check or make an FOI (Freedom of Information) request at the Regina Police Service. Now, you can, “Book ‘em…” and avoid waiting on our front steps.
The weather is turning colder, but the COVID-19 pandemic means we still aren’t able to invite a lot of people indoors into our waiting areas. To reduce line-ups and discomfort, the Regina Police Service Is implementing a new appointment scheduling solution for people needing Criminal Record Checks (for employment, volunteering or immigration purposes), or those wanting to make an FOI application. Don’t forget that these services can also be accomplished online. Walk-ins will no longer be permitted, and will be asked to pre-book an appointment.
Here’s how it works (on your computer, tablet or mobile device):
• Go to the Criminal Record Checks page at the Regina Police Service website at reginapolice.ca/records
• Find “New! Book an appointment…”; and choose, “Select”.
• You can choose available times for the next seven calendar days.
• Fill in your name, phone, and email. An email will be sent confirming your booking.
Look for notices on the RPS website and signage on our building. Stay safe, and with the help of online booking, stay warm!
