The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that may help solve a robbery that occurred last night.
On Monday, October 12, 2020, at approximately 9:15 p.m., it was reported that a robbery had just taken place in the parking lot outside a business in the 4300 block of Dewdney Avenue. The caller stated that his coworker had just been robbed of his vehicle at knife point and that the suspect had taken off with the car which also contained the victim’s wallet. While en route to the business, police spotted a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle, travelling north on Pasqua Street. Police followed the suspect vehicle, which began to pick up speed, weaving in and out of traffic, and disobeying a traffic light. Police attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. Out of concern for public and officer safety, police discontinued the pursuit. When last seen, the vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic before continuing east on the Ring Road at a high rate of speed.
The suspect is described as male, in his 30’s, approximately 6’ tall. The stolen vehicle is described as a Grey 2013 Kia Forte license plate #134 LUH.
