The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, has begun a death investigation after the discovery of a deceased adult male near Lakeshore Drive, between Avenue B and Avenue C.
Police were dispatched to the area just after 6:52 a.m., on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. The early information received indicated someone out walking in the park saw a person lying motionless on the ground. The person, an adult male, was unresponsive, so police and EMS were called to the scene. The male was confirmed deceased by EMS and a Coroner was requested. The male has been identified and his next of kin have been notified of his death, but, at this early stage, police will not release the identity of the deceased male.
The Regina Police Service and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service continue to investigate to determine the circumstances of this person’s death. Anyone who has information to offer this investigation is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
