The Regina Police Service has arrested and charged a second person in connection with Regina’s 10th homicide of 2020. The deceased victim is 32 year-old Mathew Joseph BOSSENBERRY, of Regina, who was found in the 1200 block of Cameron Street on Monday, August 24th. One male has already been charged with Second Degree Murder and now, a second male is charged. .
Background: This investigation began on Monday, August 24, 2020, when police were dispatched at approximately 7:06 p.m. to the 1200 block of Cameron Street for a report of a weapons offence and an injured person at the scene. Police and EMS went to the scene and found an adult male, who was pronounced deceased by EMS at the scene. Patrol members secured the scene and requested the additional resources of the Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units as well as the Coroner. Later that night, investigators located and arrested one suspect. Continued investigation led to the arrest of a second male suspect in the case.
Forty year-old Joshua Louis LAROSE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Second Degree Murder, [section 235(1) CC];
- 2 X Assault with a Weapon (bear spray) [section 267(a) CC]; and
- Breach of Probation [section 733.1(1) CC].
LAROSE made his first court appearance on these charges before Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
