Two adults have been arrested and charged with drug trafficking offences in the city of Regina.
On August 13, 2020, as a result of an ongoing investigation, involving the Street Gang Unit and Patrol officers, a CDSA search warrant was authorized for a residence in the 2100 block of Retallack Street. Two people were safely taken into custody. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Xanax and Canadian currency.
Thirty-four year-old Kashif Jamaal THOMAS and 30 year-old Melanie Kathryn ROPE, both of Regina, have been charged with:
- 4 X Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking [CDSA 5 (2)]; and
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime [CC 355].
THOMAS and ROPE will make their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on September 29, 2020, at 9:00 a.m.
