The Regina Police Service wishes to advise the public of an event today – Friday, July 31, 2020 – which may affect vehicle traffic flow on and around Albert Street.
The Police Service is providing traffic support for Walking With Our Angels as they walk through Regina.
The walkers will begin their walk at 10:00 a.m., accompanied by police escort near the weigh scales north of the city on Highway 11/Louis Riel Trail. From there they will head south on Albert Street until they have crossed the north Ring Road intersection near Northgate Mall, proceeding unescorted on sidewalk down Albert Street until College Avenue. From College Avenue, they will walk south with police escort again, turning east on 20th Avenue to the Legislative Building. Police will control the 20th Avenue intersection in both directions.
The Regina Police Service would like to remind motorists to be aware of this event and to choose an alternate route if necessary. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions of police officers directing traffic flow. Please be patient and keep in mind the safety of all users of the roadway.
