A second person has been charged in connection with a business robbery that occurred on July 1st in east Regina.
On Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at approximately 7:00 p.m., police were dispatched to a robbery at a business in the 2000 block of Prince of Wales Drive. It’s alleged two male suspects entered the business, stole merchandise and, when approached by staff, sprayed what was believed to be bear spray at the employee. At approximately 4:30 p.m. on July 7, 2020 police arrested a 16 year-old male in connection with this incident.
The 16 year-old cannot be named in accordance with provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth is charged with:
- Robbery [344(1)(b) CC];
- Break and Enter [348(1)(b) CC]; and
- Theft [334(b) CC].
The accused youth will make his first court appearance in Youth Court at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
Another male is already charged in connection with the same event. Eighteen year-old Jayden SEVERIGHT-SPARVIER was arrested and charged by the Regina Police Service on July 4, 2020. His charges include Robbery, Break and Enter, and Theft. His matter is still before the courts.
