A 19 year-old male is facing impaired driving charges following a collision on Pinkie Road that resulted in three people being injured.
Police were called to the area of Pinkie Road and 9th Avenue North shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2026. The caller reported a vehicle, with four occupants, had struck a barricade and rolled into the ditch.
When officers arrived, they found a vehicle in the ditch with three people inside. The driver had exited the vehicle and was standing nearby. One of the passengers, a 19 year-old female was unconscious. Two other male passengers were suffering from what appeared to be minor injuries. Regina Fire and Protective Services were called to assist in removing the unconscious female from the vehicle. All occupants were taken to hospital where they were treated for their injuries and released.
As a result of this investigation, the driver, 19 year-old Kaeden COSSETTE, is charged with:
- Operation of a Conveyance by Alcohol Causing Bodily Harm [CT 320.14(2)];
- Exceeds 80 mg of Alcohol Within 2 Hours of Operating Conveyance [CT 320.14(1)(b)];
- Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Causing Bodily Harm [CT 320.13(2)];and
- Operation of a Conveyance by Alcohol Causing Bodily Harm[CT 321.14(2)].
COSSETTE will make his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on February 4, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
