Six people are facing charges following a two-month investigation into thefts of trailers, landscaping equipment, recreational vehicles, electronics, tools, groceries and more.
In October 2025, the Regina Police Service Property Crimes Unit was investigating multiple instances of trafficking of stolen property, shoplifting and trailer thefts. The investigation led them to an abandoned farmyard a few minutes west of Regina where they located the following:
- Enclosed trailer with snowmobiles, a snowblower and car parts. The trailer had been reported stolen from an area east of Regina earlier in October 2025.
- A second trailer carrying an ATV which had also been reported stolen from an area east of Regina earlier in October
- A third trailer that had been reported stolen from Regina earlier in October 2025.
On November 7, 2025, RCMP received a call from a member of the public who had located more stolen items at a second abandoned farm in the same area, west of Regina. RCMP contacted the Regina Police Service and it was determined the items were part of the same investigation already underway by the RPS
The following items were located and seized from the location.
- Enclosed trailer with five snowmobiles which had been reported stolen from Moose Jaw in late October 2025.
On November 13, 2025, RCMP were once again called to the same area, west of Regina. The caller stated there was someone driving a truck pulling a skid-steer on a trailer, as well as a second vehicle, a rented cube van, on the property.
Further investigation led to the recovery of the following items from the property:
- Trailer and skid steer which had been reported stolen earlier that day (November 13, 2025) from the 2000 block of McDonald Street.
This complex investigation continued for several more weeks. Following multiple search warrants, including cell phone searches, and many other investigative tactics, six people were charged.
Evidence collected shows that, in addition to the vehicles, ATVs and trailers, the suspects were also stealing, trafficking and purchasing stolen items including: groceries, high-end electronics/appliances, clothing and tools. The approximate total value of the stolen items is over $260,000.
As a result, the following six people were arrested and charged in relation to this file:
Thirty-three year-old Taylor REID of Emerald Park, SK is charged with:
- 10 x Theft Under $5,000 [CC 334(B)];
- 2 x Theft Over $5,000 [CC 334(A)];
- 2 x Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
- 2 x Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
- 2 x Trafficking Stolen Property Over $5,000 [CC 355.2];
- 1 x Disguise with Intent [CC 351(2)]; and
- Fail to Comply With Conditions [CC 145(4)(A)].

Thirty-two year old Mitchell MACPHEAT of Silton, SK is charged with:
- 12 x Theft Under $5,000 [CC 334(B)];
- Disguise with Intent [CC 351(2)]; and
- 2 x Fail to Comply With Conditions [CC 145(4)(A)].
