The Regina Police Service is reminding the public to pay close attention to Halloween candy after a report, tonight, of candy possibly being tampered with in East Regina.
The caller reports finding a chocolate bar amongst their child’s Halloween candy with what appeared to be a piece of thin metal inside, similar to a needle. The caller told police they noticed a small hole in the wrapper and when they unwrapped it, they found the piece of metal stuck inside the candy.
The caller told police they were trick or treating in an area near Green Moss Lane in the Greens on Gardiner neighbourhood in East Regina. Specifically portions of the following streets; Green Moss Lane, Green Bank Road, Green Apple Drive, Green Water Drive, Green Spruce Place and Green Brook Road.
Please check all Halloween treats closely before consuming and report anything suspicious to police by calling 306-777-6500.
