On Monday, September 15, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m., police were called to the 100 block of Argyle Street for a report of a weapons offence involving a machete. Initial reports indicated a suspect armed with a machete had robbed a victim him of his cell phone and backpack.
When officers arrived, they learned the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by an unknown male wielding what appeared to be a machete. The suspect demanded the victim’s belongings. The victim complied, and the suspect fled the scene in a waiting vehicle.
Roughly 15 minutes later, police located the suspects in the 400 block of Albert Street and arrested them. As a result,
A 16 year-old male youth, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)];.

The youth made his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Youth Court this morning, September 16, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
A 17 year-old male youth, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)].
