An 18 year-old male is facing charges following a fatal collision last week.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 6th Avenue North and Smith Street shortly after 5:30 a.m. on July 31, 2025. When they arrived, they found a vehicle that appeared to have collided with a power pole and then rolled. A 13-year-old victim, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was declared deceased on scene.
Officers with the Regina Police Service Investigative Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team (ICART) were called to the scene and began their investigation.
As result of the investigation, 18-year-old Connor DOUGLAS is charged with:
- Operation of a Conveyance Impaired by Alcohol or a Drug or Combination of Both Causing Death [CT 320.14(3)];
- Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Causing Death [CT 320.13(3)];and
- Exceeds 80 Mg of Alcohol Within 2 Hours of Operating Conveyance [CT 320.14(1)(B)].
DOUGLAS made his first appearance on these charges at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning (August 5, 2025) in Regina Provincial Court.
