On Saturday, May 31 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2100 block of 11th Avenue for the report of a robbery. The victim told police she was walking in the area of Hamilton Street and 12th Avenue when two female suspects assaulted her and attempted to steal her purse. The victim then went to the business in the 2100 block of 11th Avenue where she reported what had happened to her to security officers.
Police were called and, upon arrival, officers gathered descriptions of the suspects. A short time later, members of the Regina Police Service Downtown Safety Team located two individuals matching the suspect descriptions in the 2000 block of Lorne Street. The suspects attempted to evade officers but were arrested without incident shortly thereafter.
As a result of this investigation, a 15 year-old female youth, who cannot be named in keeping with the Provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)];
- Obstruction of a Peace Officer [CC 129(A)].
The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Youth Provincial Court today, June 2, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
A second 15-year-old female youth is also charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)]
The accused will make their first appearance on these charges in Youth Provincial Court on July 10, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
