A death investigation that began last evening (Tuesday, February 18, 2025) is now a homicide investigation.
Shortly after 8:00 p.m. last night, police were called to the 1500 Block of 12th Avenue for a report of an injured male. When they arrived, they discovered the victim, a 46 year-old male, deceased.
Officers secured the area and requested the additional resources of the Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, the Regina Police Service Forensic Identification Unit and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
As a result of the investigation, 39 year-old Dennis HOTOMANIE is charged with:
- First-Degree Murder [CC 235(1)].
HOTOMANIE will make his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court tomorrow, February 20, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.
