On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at approximately 7:10 p.m., police were dispatched to the 3100 block of 5th Avenue for the report of a robbery. Initial information indicated that the victim had been threatened with what appeared to be a knife and had items stolen. A short time later, a second call game in about two males threatening another victim.
Police began a canine track, which led to the location of one male who matched the suspect description where they were arrested without incident. A search of the area near the suspect revealed stolen items and a knife. A second suspect was located shortly after.
As a result of this investigation, 19 year-old Seth MAXIE, of Regina is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)] X2
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Release Order [CC 145(5)(A)]
Eighteen year-old Jacob BURNS of Regina is also charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)] X2
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking [CC 145(4)(A)]
The accused made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
