On Saturday, December 21, 2024, at approximately 12:20 a.m., police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Parliament Avenue for the report of a stolen automobile in progress. Police arrived and learned that the victim’s vehicle was stuck in the snow and the male suspect offered to help get it out before fleeing in the victim’s vehicle.
It was also learned that the vehicle was involved in a hit and run shortly after. Officers were unable to locate the suspect at that time.
At approximately 4:20 p.m., that afternoon, officers located the described vehicle parked in the 800 block of Victoria Avenue where the male suspect was arrested without incident.
As a result, 29 year-old Jesse MARTIN-FRENCH, of Regina, is charged with:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle [CC 333.1(1)];
- Possession of Property [CC 355(B)].
MARTIN-FRENCH made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, Monday December 23, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
