On Friday, August 2, 2024, at approximately 4:20 a.m., while investigating another incident, police responded to the sound of a male in distress in the area of 7th Avenue and Cameron Street. Police located a 14 year-old male with severe injuries consistent with a bladed weapon assault. EMS arrived and transported the male to hospital.
Police also located an 18 year-old male on Dewdney Avenue and Argyle Street who had also sustained injury consistent with a bladed weapon assault. EMS transported the male to hospital.
Police located a second 18 year-old male who had also sustained injury, and was transported to hospital. Investigation determined that during an altercation with multiple participants, the second 18 year-old male located, along with a third not yet located 18 year-old male suspect, had assaulted the first 18 year-old and the 14 year-old youth with a knife. The knife believed to be used in the assault was recovered.
Police then located the third 18 year-old male suspect and placed him under arrest. He and the second 18 year-old male were charged with aggravated assault.
Eighteen year-old Ian RAZOR, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Aggravated Assault [CC 268(1)].
Eighteen year-old Adam Tyres ROSS, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Aggravated Assault [CC 268(1)].
RAZOR and ROSS made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
