Sixteen individuals face charges of obtaining sexual services after police investigation.
On Wednesday, June 19th, and Thursday, June 20th, 2024, the Regina Police Service Vice Unit, Regina Police Service Trafficking Response Team, along with the Prince Albert Police Service Trafficking Response Team arrested 16 individuals who attempted to purchase sexual services in Regina.
All 16 individuals were charged with Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration [CC 286(1)]. The two day project is designed to target those individuals who prey on some of our most vulnerable people in the community and assist in combatting human trafficking and child exploitation.
The charged made their first appearances in Provincial Court and will be enrolled in a first offender education program.
