A 35 year-old male is facing charges following an incident at a business in the 2000 block of 11th Avenue. At approximately 11:30 a.m. yesterday (January 9, 2024) a caller to the RPS Communications Centre reported an adult male had entered the business and was threatening to stab those inside the business. The male then stole a tip jar and fled the scene.
Officers arrived and began their investigation. Almost immediately, the suspect was located inside a nearby business. After a short foot pursuit he was taken into custody. No weapons were located on the suspect.
As a result, thirty-five year old Dahir HABASHOW is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B); and
- Fail to Comply With a Probation Order [CC 733.1(1)].
HABASHOW made his first appearance on this charge in Regina Provincial Court this morning, January 10, 2024 at 9:30 a.m.
