On Saturday, December 30, 2023, at approximately 5:55 p.m., police were dispatched to the 3100 block of 6th Avenue for the report of a weapons offence where people were assaulted with bear spray.
Police arrived and located two victims who were under the effects of contact with bear spray. It was learned that two masked young persons approached the victims on bicycles, sprayed them, and then left on the bicycles.
