This morning, Friday, December 1, 2023, Farooq Hassan Sheikh was officially sworn in as the 15th Chief of Police for the Regina Police Service. The Honourable Associate Chief Justice Michael Tochor was on hand to administer the Oath of Office. Chair of the Board of Police Commissioners, Jada Yee, presented the Chief with his badge.
Chief Sheikh comes to the Regina Police Service, most recently, from the Alberta Sheriff’s Service. Chief Sheikh has 31-years of diverse law enforcement experience from across the world, including almost five years policing in Canada.
