A 26 year-old Regina female has been charged in connection with an investigation into a suspicious vehicle that evaded police.
On Friday, October 13, 2023, at approximately 11:35 pm, police were called to the 1200 block of McTavish Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Prior to police arrival it was reported the vehicle had driven away.
The Aerial Support Unit (ASU) assisted in locating the vehicle and advised police of its location. Police attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the driver evaded police. ASU continued to keep an eye on the vehicle and advised ground units it stopped in the 3500 block of 14th Avenue.
ASU advised the driver and a passenger had exited the vehicle and ran to a house in the area. Police attended to that location and arrested the female driver without incident.
Twenty-six year-old Crystal FOX, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [355 (b)];
- Flight from Peace Officer [320.17];
- Operate Conveyance Dangerous to Public [320.13(1)];
- Operating while Impaired [CC 320.14(1)(a)].
Fox will make her first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday, October 16, 2023.
