The investigation into last week’s fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a truck is complete and no charges will be laid.
Officers were called the scene in the 1500 block of 7th Avenue East shortly before 1:00 p.m. last Friday, September 8, 2023. When they arrived they found a male victim, who appeared to have been struck by a large truck, lying in the roadway. EMS attended and confirmed the adult male victim was deceased.
Officers from our Traffic Safety Unit and Forensic Identification Unit conducted the investigation and concluded the driver of the vehicle was not at fault. As such, no charges will be laid.
