On the evening of May 9, 2023, a driver had called police to state that she had been involved in motor vehicle incident which resulted in another driver ramming her vehicle.
Investigation into the matter revealed that at approximately 6:30 p.m., the driver was driving westbound on McCallum Avenue preparing to turn southbound on Angus Street when another vehicle drove eastbound on McCallum Avenue towards her at a very high rate of speed, preventing her from making her turn. After she pulled over nearby, the driver of the other vehicle pulled up next to her, threw an object at her vehicle, and drove away at a high rate of speed. The vehicle returned once again, ramming his vehicle into the victim’s vehicle. The suspect then drove away.
Investigation led to a 29 year-old male, who was arrested and charged.
Twenty-nine year-old Justin Ross LANOUTTE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon [CC 267(A)];
- Dangerous Drive [CC 320.13(1)]; and
- Failure to Stop After Accident [CC 320.16(1)].
LANOUTTE made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.
