Extra School Resource Officers (SRO’s) were on site at Sheldon Williams Collegiate today, Thursday, April 20, 2023. The increased police presence was in response to an online threat made yesterday, towards those who attend and work at the school.
Investigators in the RPS Tech Crimes Unit worked overnight and throughout today to assess the credibility of the threats. The threats were unsubstantiated.
SRO’s remained on site for the duration of the school day as a precaution.
