A 25 year-old Regina female has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property after investigation into an incident late last night (Sunday).
On Sunday, January 15, 2023, at approximately 11:51 p.m., two officers in a patrol unit observed a silver Honda Civic in the area of Pasqua Street and 4th Avenue. Knowing that there had been a silver Honda Civic reported stolen, the officers compared the license plate information and confirmed they were looking at the stolen vehicle. The driver dropped off a passenger, giving the officers time to radio a description of the driver. The vehicle then turned northbound from 4th onto Lewvan Drive. Officers were able to find the vehicle, abandoned near 1st Avenue North and King Street, and saw a person matching the description of the driver walking away. Officers arrested the female without incident. Further investigation led to a criminal charge.
Twenty-five year-old Kady Janelle FAYANT, of Regina, is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000, s. 355(a) CC. FAYANT was released on an undertaking to make a court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on February 23, 2023.
