An adult male faces numerous charges after an incident Saturday afternoon where a couple was robbed of their vehicle.
On Saturday November 19, 2022, at approximately 12:40 p.m., police were dispatched to the 300 Block of Albert Street for a report of a vehicle robbery. A male and female had parked their vehicle in front of a business. The female passenger exited the vehicle, when the male driver exited the vehicle, a suspect male got into the driver side door. The suspect male then reversed and attempted to drive away. Both the male and female victims attempted to stop the suspect male and received minor injuries as a result. The suspect male struck another parked vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Police located the stolen vehicle a short distance away abandoned and running. The suspect male was located in a nearby residence and arrested without incident.
Thirty-eight year-old Billy PEEPEETCH, of Regina, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(a)]
- Failure To Stop After Accident [CC 320.16(1)]
- Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Over $5000 [CC 355(a)]
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order X2 [CC 733.1(1)
The accused will make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court, on Monday,
November 21, 2022 at 930 am.
