On Thursday, August 25, 2022, at approximately 9:40 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1700 block of McIntyre Street for the report of a weapons offence. Information received was that a female was armed with a hatchet.
Police arrived and arrested the 30 year-old female. A search of the female yielded a hatchet, a knife, and a home-made improvised firearm, or “slam gun”, with ammunition. She was charged with multiple weapons offences.
Thirty year-old Marlynn Toni KAHNAPACE, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Possession of a Weapon [CC 88];
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon [CC 90];
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession Unauthorized [CC 92(1)]; and
- 2 X Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)].
KAHNAPACE made her first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
