A 31 year-old Regina male is facing weapons charges, including assaulting police officers with a weapon, after investigation into an incident early Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at about 2:30 a.m. police saw three males walking on Saskatchewan Drive. One of the males was carrying a baseball bat. When police stopped to talk with the males, they noticed one of the men had an open can of beer with him. The male identified himself by falsely giving the name of another (real) person. When confronted, the male ran away; it’s alleged he sprayed officers with bear spray that he pulled from his waistband. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and charged.
Thirty-one year-old Jorden Dean Peter ROSS-BRILTZ, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Possession of a Weapon for a Purpose Dangerous to Public Peace, s. 88 CC;
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon, s. 90 CC;

- Resist Arrest, s. 129(a) CC; and
- 2 X Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon, s. 170.01(1)(a) CC.
ROSS-BRILTZ made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday (today), August 16, 2022.
