On July 26, 2022, at approximately 7:00 p.m., police were dispatched to a Regina residence for the report of a sexual assault. Police arrived at a residence to learn that an adult female had been sexually assaulted by an adult male. The male choked the female to overcome resistance and did not allow her to leave his residence for over an hour.
Investigation led to the identity of a 31 year-old male, who was arrested and charged.
Thirty-one year-old Eferoghene Bright OJANOMARE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Overcome Resistance By Attempting to Choke Another Person [CC 246];
- Sexual Assault [CC 271]; and
- Forcible Confinement [279(2) CC].
OJANOMARE is scheduled to make his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on September 20, 2022.
