On June 23, 2022 the Regina Police Service conducted enforcement on three people and several addresses in Regina, following an investigation into a drug trafficking operation in the city. This law enforcement was lead by the RPS Drug Unit and supported by numerous other Criminal Investigative Units within the Regina Police Service, with assistance from the RCMP.
Five search warrants were executed under the authority of the Criminal Code, including search warrants authorized under the Federal Drug Control Statute, the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
A significant amount of drugs and cash were seized as part of the investigation including:
- 10 Kilograms of cocaine;
- 6 Kilograms of methamphetamine;
- $155,000 cash; and
- other proceeds of crime, including motorcycles.
As a result, three people are facing multiple charges:
- 38 year-old Michael Peter GILEWICZ of Regina;
- 47 year-old Ryan Charles QUICK of Regina; and
- 44 year-old Trevor Shaun DIETZ of Regina.
DIETZ is a member of the Silent Soldiers outlaw motorcycle gang is currently wanted in relation to this investigation. A photo of DIETZ accompanies this news release.
