On Sunday, June 26, 2022, at approximately 4:25 p.m., a member of the Regina Police Service Canine Unit, driving on Pasqua Street around 7th Avenue, observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on Pasqua Street against oncoming traffic. The vehicle turned eastbound on 4th Avenue, and turned southbound again, leaving the view of the officer. Police located the vehicle abandoned in the area of Dewdney and Elphinstone Street at approximately 4:35 p.m. Ammunition and identification were located in the vehicle.
Police began a canine track which led to a female on the 1500 block of Elphinstone Street, and police arrested the female. The female was identified, and found to be in violation of prohibition orders.
Twenty-four year-old Keely Shay FELIX, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Possession of Firearm/Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)];
- Operate Conveyance Dangerous to Public [CC 320.13(1)]; and
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [CC 355(A)].
FELIX made her first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court yesterday, June 27, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.
