On Sunday, June 26, 2022, at approximately 5:15 p.m., police were dispatched to the 3100 block of 3rd Avenue for a report of two males assaulting a third male. Upon police arrival the two suspect males were located walking east bound on 3rd Avenue. Police located the victim male who stated the two suspects had attempted to rob him a gun point. Both suspects were arrested without incident.
Twenty-nine year old, Darion DESJARLAIS of Regina is charged with the following offences:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(a)]
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized [CC 92(1)]
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number Has Been Tampered With [CC 108(1)(b)]
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon [CC 90]
- Breach of Probation [CC 733.1(1)]
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [CC 117.01(1)]
- Possession of a Weapon [CC 88]
Thirty-three year old, Jordan TAYPOTAT of Regina is charged with the following offences:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(a)]
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon [CC 90]
- Possession of a Weapon [CC 88]
Both DESJARLAIS and TAYPOTAT will make their first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
